      What CAD Cleaner does

      • Flattens every object to one elevation (Z = 0)
      • Explodes nested blocks, keeping attribute text
      • Purges unused layers, blocks, linetypes and styles
      • Removes zero-length, invalid and empty objects
      • Removes exact duplicate lines and arcs
      • Finds stray objects far from the drawing

      Why clean before Revit?

Consultant drawings arrive with 3D noise, nested blocks and junk that slow Revit down.

      Questions

Are my drawings uploaded to a server?

No. CAD Cleaner runs entirely in your web browser. The drawing is read, cleaned and saved on your own computer; nothing is sent to Aakaar or anyone else.

      When are the files deleted?

The uploaded drawing and the cleaned result exist only in this browser tab's memory. They are deleted when you press "Delete files now", when you close or leave the page, or after 30 minutes without activity. Nothing is stored in cookies, local storage or on a server.

      Which file formats are supported?

DWG files from AutoCAD R14 onwards, including the DWG 2018 format used by recent AutoCAD versions, and DXF (ASCII and binary). The cleaned result can be downloaded as a Revit-safe DXF (R12), a modern DXF, or a DWG in AutoCAD 2000 format, which every version of AutoCAD and Revit opens.

Why is the Revit-safe DXF recommended?

Revit occasionally rejects or crashes on drawings that contain complex objects. The Revit-safe DXF keeps only simple, flat geometry (lines, arcs, polylines, text) with all blocks expanded, which Revit imports reliably in every version.

Does it change my original file?

Never. The tool works on a copy held in memory. Your original drawing on your computer is not touched.
